a month agoFirst time visiting Sunshine Soulfood and it was phenomenal! Our server was Argentina and she made great recommendations. We enjoyed the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, Cajun chicken pasta and pineapple lemonade. The plantains were on point too! We highly recommend this cozy spot, full of Caribbean flavor and soul. Customer service was top notch!

4 months agoArgentina was our server. We had a large party and she handled our requests so well!! The food & drinks were DELICIOUS!! We will definitely be back and utilize their catering services. 10/10 highly recommend!!

5 months agoI came here seeing a video from Tik Tok. I live in CT was here on vacation. The food was not good. The turkey wings gravy was too watery. The yams was too mushy and too of much water on them. Mac n cheese was just terrible. The seasoning is not right on none of the food. The turkey wings wasn’t even wings and it tasted horrible. I was very disappointed in the food but the lady at the cash register was nice.

5 months agoDafney service was phenomenal...she was so kind, genuine, and funny... Alicia the cook deserves a chef's kiss...let me just say after fasting over 16 hours I devoured the food... By the way I had BBQ bomb chicken, macking mac and cheese and grandma's yams....ommggggg it was finger licking good...

5 months agoIt was my first time trying this place. Out of everything only the chicken was worth it otherwise everything else is a no. Especially the Mac and cheese. Overall I’d rate the food a 5/10. Great atmosphere and service though.

6 months agoGo see Argentina! She gave the best service the pasta is a huge serving. The lemon pepper wings are the best! Great flavor great pricing. We came from the west coast and found this gem! So glad we did. Will be coming back everytime

6 months agoThe main courses were excellent. Mac and cheese was on point. We didn’t care for the cabbage, greens, or potato salad. The person that took our order was nice and provided great customer service.

While the service is adequate, it’s important to note that this is not a fast-paced, grab-and-go restaurant. Meals are prepared with care, reflecting the essence of Caribbean culture—where food is crafted with love, patience, and pride. The dishes have a distinct home-cooked quality that sets them apart. I particularly recommend the oxtails, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Each item was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, this restaurant provides a genuine taste of the Caribbean and is well worth a visit for those seeking a relaxed and authentic dining experience.
